Cara and Adam’s story began in 2023 with their first date at Barnwell Country Park, followed by a visit to the Kingfisher Café. That day was filled with laughter, conversation, and a spark they both knew was something special. The kingfisher quickly became a symbol of their love, representing the connection that brought them together.
Remarkably, over 10 years ago, they were both at Sixth Form at the same time, surrounded by the same circle of friends—but they didn’t know each other. Cara knew Adam’s friends, and he knew hers, but their paths never crossed. It’s almost as though an invisible string tied them together, patiently waiting for the right time to pull them into each other’s lives.
Since then, they’ve shared incredible adventures together, travelling to places like Turkey, Edinburgh, Southwold, and Tromsø. It was on Storsteinen mountain in Tromsø, surrounded by falling snow, that Adam asked Cara to marry him. Although the clouds were too thick to see the Northern Lights, the moment was no less magical. Of course, she said "Yes!"
Today, Cara and Adam live in Thrapston with their adorable dalmatian, Oscar, who fills their home with joy. As they prepare for their wedding day, they are excited to celebrate their journey and all the people who have been part of it.
